This department provides general and specialized reference, research, and instruction/information literacy services to the NDSU community and other constituents. Individually and collectively they excel at their work. They consistently serve as critical resources to NDSU students and faculty and demonstrate leadership in their respective fields of expertise.

The Research and Instruction team has developed quality working relationships with faculty members and have been described as invaluable resources to respected departments. They exemplify how the Libraries strive toward excellence by going beyond the call of duty to provide assistance, deliver instruction, and troubleshoot problems. Thus, they are committed to nurturing curiosity, lifelong learning, and development of all students, faculty, and staff.
