NDSU Libraries are excited to host a new collection of children’s books in our Young Readers Collection. This new collection is a subset of our Shott Collection, provided by the Mary-Lou and George Shott Endowment. Serving our elementary education majors and the general campus community, it features books geared towards children who are eight years old and younger.
Whether looking for bedtime stories or easy reads to build a child's confidence in their own skills, this collection has something to offer. Little Critter, Dr. Seuss, and modern award-winners are ready and waiting for NDSU's young readers!
It also features books aimed at providing diverse stories and perspectives curated from lists by community activists and award programs such as: American Indian Youth Literature Awards, Coretta Scott King Awards, and Stonewall Awards.
The collection can be found near the Reference Desk and computer cluster area on the main floor of the Main Library.
NDSU students, faculty, and staff have borrowing capabilities with their NDSU Card.
