NDSU’s first personal computer, a Commodore PET 2001, is one of many historic computer and networking items found in a collection donated to the NDSU Archives by Terry Wieland, retired Director of Engineering and Operations. The collection also contains the first cellular phone, fiber optic cables, circuits, network routers, and much more housed in a metal cabinet. A story about this collection was featured on WDAY, when Terry retired in November 2017.
