Research Support

Meet with your librarian: As an NDSU community member, you have access to a librarian who specializes in your field and values working to support your research needs. Your librarian can provide personalized research assistance, direct you to the best resources, and help you evaluate them. They can provide research consultations in person or remotely via phone, email, and Zoom. Check out the list of librarians to see who works with your discipline, and reach out to set up an appointment today!

Reference Desk and Chat: If you need help right away, try using our popular chat service to get answers to quick questions about library resources, access to materials, or even just to ask about our operating hours. Find the Ask a Librarian chat box at the bottom right corner of the Libraries’ website. Someone is also available at the Reference Desk at the Main Library to answer questions. View Reference Desk and Reference Chat hours here.

Libraries Website: The Libraries website also offers ways to get you started on your research. See our Research Assistance Page to help guide your research process, DIY style.
