On August 19, 2020, the NDSU Libraries’ Germans from Russia Heritage Collection (GRHC) launched a new website to offer a streamlined and organized way to access our resources and collections. The URL is the same as before: library.ndsu.edu/grhc/
Due to the active COVID-19 situation the GRHC is closed until further notice. However we are still processing and shipping orders made through our marketplace.
A North Dakota State University history professor and seven of his students got involved with hands-on history by painting two buildings at the Welk Homestead State Historic Site at Strasburg the weekend of Oct. 5-6, 2019.
In 1970, the Germans from Russia Heritage Society (GRHS) was established in Bismarck to preserve the history of the Germans from Russia who started immigrating to the United States and Canada to escape a variety of difficult problems in their homeland in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
