New GRHC Website Launches August 19, 2020

On August 19, 2020, the NDSU Libraries’ Germans from Russia Heritage Collection (GRHC) launched a new website to offer a streamlined and organized way to access our resources and collections. The URL is the same as before: library.ndsu.edu/grhc/

NDSU history students give back by painting buildings at Welk Homestead

A North Dakota State University history professor and seven of his students got involved with hands-on history by painting two buildings at the Welk Homestead State Historic Site at Strasburg the weekend of Oct. 5-6, 2019.

GERMANS FROM RUSSIA HERITAGE SOCIETY: Celebrating 50 Years of Preserving History

In 1970, the Germans from Russia Heritage Society (GRHS) was established in Bismarck to preserve the history of the Germans from Russia who started immigrating to the United States and Canada to escape a variety of difficult problems in their homeland in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
