GRHC’s new traveling exhibit, “Building Life and Home on the Prairie,” is currently on display at:

Prairie Village Museum, Rugby, ND, until August 21.

  • 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday
  • 12pm-6pm Sundays

Harold Schafer Heritage Center, Medora, ND, until September 8. This second exhibit is thanks to a generous gift from the Mike and Peggy Bullinger Family.

New Online Exhibit

We pleased to announce a new online exhibit, Building Life and Home on the Prairie, curated by Wyatt Atchley, GRHC Graduate Assistant. The exhibit showcases the material and architectural culture of early German-Russian settlers in North Dakota and provides a unique opportunity for visitors to learn about their heritage and history.

GRAND FORKS – Father William Sherman, well-known and beloved parish priest who led St. Michael’s Catholic Church for 27 years, died Wednesday afternoon, May 4, at Valley Living Center. He was 94....

Father Phillip Ackerman, of Holy Cross Catholic Church, West Fargo, served as an associate pastor with Sherman from 1980 to 1984 at St. Michael’s Church.
