Library Week 2020
April 14, 2020

About National Library Week  //  American Library Association

The theme for National Library Week 2020, "Find your place at the library," was chosen prior to the global pandemic that forced most libraries to temporarily close their physical spaces. However, you can still find your place at the library thanks to the efforts of libraries providing virtual services and digital content that is needed now more than ever.

We are going to share with you some of NDSU Libraries' resources that are available to access from the comfort of your home. As we continue to serve our campus and community during this time of crisis, let us help you find the library at your place.

Academic Search Premier

Academic Search Premier includes interdisciplinary journals which cover a wide range of disciplines. If you're not sure where to begin your research or what might be available on your topic, Academic Search Premier will cast a wide net and provide you with a great foundation. It is your go-to place to start!

AVON

Academic Video Online (AVON) is a video streaming service now available at NDSU! If you’re looking for a documentary, tutorials, or even feature films, this service offers academic and leisure options for everyone.

Digital Horizons

The Cal Olson Photograph Collection is a diverse collection of images taken by photojournalist Cal Olson spanning from the 1950s to the 1970s. Olson took most of these images while working at the Fargo Forum, and they cover topics such as the Fargo tornado of 1957, Native Americans, and the Vietnam War. Olson was a member of the 1958 Pulitzer Prize winning Fargo Forum staff.

The Father William C. Sherman Collection consists of photographs taken by Father William C. Sherman, Leo Kim, and DJ Guerrero, primarily in North Dakota in the 1970s. The collection includes slides and photographs of structures that highlight the architecture and building techniques of homesteaders on the Northern Plains.
